This photo by Andy Shields:
My comment to him: I don’t know if you know this person or just caught this as you walked past, but this is an excellent street photo. It appears you didn’t raise your camera because the subject is looking over us at you (plus judging by the car’s doorhandle, your M6 was chest-high). The subject is framed not only by the car window but also by the combination of the bicycle, the signpost, the streetlight bar, and the roofline in the backbround. Also, your framing is further perfected because he’s additionally framed by the rear of the vehicle within the window frame. Nothing but daylight behind him. And then there’s the look you caught. All that framing makes his face hit the viewer right in the brain immediately. Wow!
I googled him and found his web site, which is purely street photography, all of this caliber. He shoots the streets of Detriot. Check him out here: Andy Shields Street Photography. Click “Noise” for digital photos, or “Grain” for his film work. Heh. 🙂
